FRAMEWORK

One of the great problems of the 21st century is the exponential increase of the homeless. Those strange beings who daily grow in our streets as if they were weeds. The problem is even more serious when these homeless already have a proven professional curriculum and academic education. A human being is a human being, regardless of his background, education, race, color or nationality.

While we wait passively for the problem to resolve itself through the different social policies spread throughout the world, there is a homeless sleeping on a park bench, beneath an archway, inside an abandoned container or even inside a cardboard box.

So the challenge of this contest is to create a shelter for the homeless.

We will not solve the problem of homelessness, but we can try to give a little more dignity to those who think they've lost it. The problem has to be solved with social policies that go to the bottom of the matter, the origins of the problem. It is up to us to help, warn, contribute in the best way we can so as not to let these issues be forgotten and develop into normal situations of societies nowadays.

The aim of this competition is to alert society in general and our rulers to this huge social scourge!

This is our way of being proactive by demanding a better and fairer society. We must act!

Project: A temporary shelter that protects the homeless from the cold and bad weather of the nigh and not a permanent living space.

Location - Somewhere in a street near you.

Required: Sleeping area protected from the cold and bad weather.

Locker: It should be contemplated a locker where the homeless can store their belongings during the day (blankets, clothes, etc).

The possibility should be taken into account of extending it so as to be able to shelter more than one homeless person.

Free zones: The participant is free to add other areas it considers appropriate.

Deployment areas - not defined, at the discretion of the participant.

Max.total area - should not exceed 10m

Max. height - should not exceed 3m

Materials – There are no pre-defined materials; the participant has total freedom of choice
